Tahoe Top Tens

We're pretty excited about the fresh powder the most recent storm has brought to the Tahoe area ski resorts. And with bluebird days ahead, we can hardly wait to get on the slopes! To help you make the most of sunny afternoons after a day on the mountain, we've compiled a list of our Top Five Apres Ski Spots.

With Your Boots Still On - Le Chamois

"The Chammy" just may be the most quintessential of all North Lake Tahoe apres spots. This is the place where you are guaranteed to run into friends, enjoying pizza and a beer after a day spent on the slopes. Checking Squaw Valley skiing off your bucket list? Visiting Le Chamois is an absolute must. Kids and dogs welcome on the patio too!

For an Irish Flair - Auld Dubliner

For classic Irish eats, beer, and whiskey, along with a full bar and food menu that includes American favorites, a stop at Auld Dubliner is a must. Centrally located, this is a great Village at Squaw Valley spot, and when the sun is out, the patio is open.

With the Whole Family - Rubicon Pizza Company

After a morning of ski school for the youngest of the bunch, and a day taking in all that is Northstar for the rest of the crew, we can almost guarantee everyone has worked up an appetite. Take the whole family for some post-skiing grub at Rubicon Pizza Company. Conveniently located in the Northstar Village, the Italian restaurant serves up hand tossed pizzas and fresh salads, along with classic cocktails and draft beer.

To Apres Like a Local - Cornice Cantina

That building in the Squaw Valley parking lot you could never quite identify? That is Cornice Cantina, and it may just be the best kept secret among North Lake Tahoe's apres spots. A casual Mexican eatery, that also boasts what some locals claim to be the best burger on the lake.

For the Best Beer Selection - Mellow Fellow

Ready to ditch the post ski crowds for something more unique? Mellow Fellow, located in historic downtown Truckee, offers a constantly changing selection of 40 craft beers on tap. While you may not be able to keep your ski boots on, the Adirondack chairs around outdoor fire pits sure say "apres" to us.
