Gather the whole family (dogs too!) and head to Historic Downtown Truckee because tonight marks the first "Truckee Thursdays" of the summer. The event features a food court, artisan vendors, merchant and community displays, children’s activities, live music, and a beer garden, and is a hit with locals and visitors alike.
A new band takes the stage every Thursday, and this week you'll be able to check out "The Deadlies." Hailing from San Francisco, the band describes their style as "Rock Country Surf Punk" and most recently opened at the musical festival Bottlerock Napa Valley.
And the food! Dozens of food trucks and local chefs can be found selling everything from fresh squeezed lemonade to street style tacos. We're thinking a Lobster Roll from Morgan's Lobster Shack might be the winner tonight.
