Alder Creek Lodge's main living area is upstairs and the great room has just been outfitted with brand new furnishings. Gather around and enjoy a movie on the large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV while a picturesque fire warms the room. The chef in the family will find themselves at home in the adjacent kitchen outfitted with gorgeous counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a wine cooler and a high-end gas range.

The spacious master suite is conveniently located off the main living area and is outfitted with a brand new king mattress and bedroom set. Enjoy your own washer and dryer, en suite bath, reading chair and rear deck access.

Downstairs, a junior master suite offers a second individual (or couple) a private retreat with a queen bed, en suite bath and deck access. A third guest room and a bunk room are on this floor, as is another full bath. Guests will love the downstairs family room with comfortable seating, another television, wet bar and shuffleboard table!

During the summer months, enjoy al fresco dining on the upper deck, and year round look forward to relaxing in the brand new private hot tub.

ABOUT THE AREA

Tahoe Donner is one of America’s largest homeowner’s associations, with nearly 6,500 properties and 25,000 members enjoying over 7,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

In the winter, enjoy on site access to cross country and downhill skiing, and a snow play area which is a favorite among our younger visitors. In the summer, take advantage of the championship golf course and clubhouse or bring the family to one of the private swimming pool complexes. You’ll also have access to a private beach club at Donner Lake, where you can avoid the crowds and spend a day paddle boarding, kayaking or sunbathing on provided chaise lounges.

Dining options within the community include The Lodge Restaurant and Pub, winner of the 2015 Open Table Diners’ Choice Award, and Pizza on the Hill, a casual spot perfect for the whole family.

Compared to other North Shore Tahoe locations, staying in Tahoe Donner cuts the drive from the bay area down by close to 45 minutes, so you’ll be enjoying the first cocktail of your vacation while others are still stuck in traffic. Tahoe Donner is minutes away from Historic Downtown Truckee, about 12 miles from Northstar California and 16 miles from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.

Included with your rental are two guest cards providing access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Each guest card allows access for up to four guests over the age of 6. Guest access fees are currently $15 per person per day. Children under 7 are free. Daily Access Fees are only good for single use; they are no longer transferable across amenities.

We had a family reunion with 4 couples. This property is beautiful and exceptionally well equipped in the kitchen. We had a great time. Figuring out the TV was a little challenging but we really weren’t there for TV. We had a great time and would recommend this property to other families.

The home was large, spotless and gorgeous. We loved the space along with the hot tub on location. Plenty of space to park 3 vehicles. We enjoyed the ping pong table, mountain bike, shuffle board and Tahoe/donner amenities. While you do have “access” to Tahoe/donner amenities..be prepared to pay $15 per person to enjoy anything (Lake, playground, pool etc) The kitchen was very well stocked with every appliance/cooking utility you’d need. Only 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe (the most gorgeous lake I’ve ever seen. Enjoy your stay, highly recommend!

The house was as described and very clean. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and serving (including children's plates and cutlery.) The common areas were comfortable, and there were many toys and games available. The location in Tahoe Donner is close to all the amenities. All check-in and check-out service and communication was clear and efficient. I would stay here again without question.

The perfect getaway

Sometimes pictures make a place look nicer then it really is, this is not the case! We had a group of 6 and this house was perfect for us! Not to mention dog friendly! The neighborhood is quite and there is a beautiful hiking trail right behind the house that follows a creek. One deck over looks the beautiful pine trees and the second deck gives you access to the trail, not to mention has a hot tub. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy with the temps outside getting down into the 20s at night. Everything was clean and rooms are all a great size. We all really enjoyed this house and would rent it again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the enjoyable stay!

Our group (two couples and one additional adult) found this upscale house to be super clean and comfortable. We attended a wedding at Sugar Bowl in Truckee--an easy 25 minute drive either through Donner Pass or via I-80. We made the trip several times throughout the weekend (rehearsal, wedding, brunch). The house has everything you could possibly need--comfortable beds, plush towels, kitchen gadgets galore. Wonderful layout with multiple decks, space upstairs and downstairs to relax and socialize. Management company made the whole experience very easy.

The property was outstanding! Very clean, well appointed, exactly like the photos. Beautiful kitchen, sparkling wood floors, comfortable beds. Nice deck and hot tob, gas BBQ plumbed so no worry about running out of gas. Each of us 4 guys had our own bedroom which was a nice buffer for the snoring. Only drawback for some, not us, was the steep flight of stairs one had to negotiate to get into the house.

Our stay was for a family get together with my kids and grandkids (3-10yo).The house was perfect for our group. The house was as described, very well stocked kitchen, games for the kids. We spent lots of time at Donner Lake which was great fun for all of us. I was very pleased with everything about this property and would return again.

Wonderful spot, the house feels brand new and there is plenty of room for everyone (we had 10 people and it never felt crowded). Loved that they are dog friendly. The only downside was a recurring issue with the sump pump but the property mgmt company was prompt in dealing with it. Will definitely be back.

Rented this house with family and friends for a summer vacation. We had small children and the house was perfect for all of us. Very well stocked with tons of games for adults and kids. The house also had a great supply of dishes, glasses, bowls, etc. Was a great stay and we would stay again.
