This Talmont home offers a spectacular lake view, large hot tub on a covered deck, upper grilling deck with table and chairs, and access to the private Tahoe Park Beach in the summer. Upon arriving, the covered stone entry welcomes you into the bright, sunny great room, with floor to ceiling windows boasting breathtaking views of the lake and huge towering pines.

Under vaulted ceilings, the spacious living area with plush seating for all centers around an over-sized gas fireplace and large flat screen television. The gourmet kitchen features a commercial style Wolf gas range, counter seating for six, all stainless steel appliances and granite counters, wood flooring and is well-equipped for everyday cooking. The dining table sits eight, and the deck has more seating plus a gas grill with an impressive view of Lake Tahoe and West Shore below.

Upstairs, the large Master Bedroom enjoys stunning views and is also the point of entrance for the nearby kids room that is set up perfectly for the little ones in your group. Three twin beds, another flat screen television, seating, and an air hockey table offer up hours of fun!

On the lower level (below the main living area) you'll find the two remaining guest bedrooms. Guests staying here will most definitely enjoy the sprawling deck with covered hot tub which can comfortably seat 8-10 adults.

ABOUT THE AREA
Conveniently located three and a half miles south of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, you’ll find the quiet residential neighborhood known as Talmont Estates. Just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach, the Talmont neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter.

Access to the Lake Tahoe Park Associate HOA beach offers an escape from summer crowds and the convenient location means you’ll never sit in west shore traffic. The Tahoe Park beach offers over three acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, a playground, basketball, bocce ball, volleyball, and picnic areas.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

4. The deck & Gas BBQ are not available during the winter months.
5. For Winter Safety Reasons: the sliding glass door in the main living area is non-operable during the winter months.
6. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.

Great house for our family gathering. The house was perfect with a large kitchen, comfortable seating, a lovely view from the deck, a nice hot tub and lots of space for our family. The house is located walking distance to Page Meadows with lots of hiking/mountain biking trails. Wonderful time and great service from Tahoe Getaways!

The cabin met most needs There are some items that should be replaced due to noise or not working efficiently, stove kept making starter clicking noise on high, washing machine (very loud- sounded like a helicopter )upstairs toilet kept making a loud beeping alarm in the middle of the night until it was flushed - very odd. Great location and amazing view. All beds were very comfy!

This was a great property for our family vacation. VERY clean home. The view is spectacular. Bears in the neighborhood are smart. They can open the trash bins and make a mess. We bolted the door on the trash bin and it worked just fine. We highly recommend this home!

This house was great for our group of 10. The views are reason alone to book this house. Sitting on the deck looking out over the Lake was incredible. Hot tub area was super nice and big enough to fit us all. Kitchen and grill were great. House felt very updated and new, beds were comfy, bathrooms were nice. Quick drive to Tahoe City for bars, restaurants, grocery stores etc. and close enough to the Lake! Only thing I'd note is the parking. There is a 2 car garage and a 1 car parking pad... House only allows for 3 cars. For a house that sleeps 10 people who may be coming from different places, coordinating to have just 3 cars was a pain. We saw other cars parked on our road on the street, and there was honestly room to park 1 more car perpendicular to the 2 garage doors... so wish we could have done that to avoid cramming in 3 with all our luggage, food etc. Otherwise loved it! Highly recommend.

Great house for a weekend getaway. Easy to access and the management company was very responsive to questions and requests. The space is set up for a large group which meant 4 of us had a lot of room to be together. The bedroom that has kids beds is great for families I expect and adults should be aware that you are sleeping in smaller beds which may not be to everyone's liking. The rest of the bedrooms were very comfortable and had ample linens for chilly nights. The kitchen has the basics for making meals and plenty of dish and glassware. Again exactly what you need for a getaway. The hot tub is a great addition and easily accessible. The views are beautiful and being able to sit on the deck in the morning and watch the sunrise over Lake Tahoe was lovely.

We rented the house for 5 night to celebrate a birthday and the Fourth of July. The house is beautiful and was very clean when we arrived! The view of the lake is amazing and the kid room was perfect. The kitchen was lacking some essential items, like salt and pepper, hand towels, paper towels, etc. The WiFi was extremely frustrating, not working at times, which would stop our movies midstream. We were also disappointed that the private beach put up a sign saying “homeowners only, no renters.” We paid a lot of money for this house to have the private beach, so that was a big disappointment. We ended up leaving a night early. I would suggest bringing your own paper towels, toilet paper, and any kitchen supplies for cooking!

Manager's Response

Future guests should note that things will look a bit different when booking during these trying times, as they do everywhere. CDC protocols prohibit us from providing any edible items including spices and condiments. While we do our best to provide guests with amenity updates as they are released, many HOA facilities are operating under regulations implemented by changing governmental restrictions so things can change in a moment's notice. We appreciate all the feedback and agree that reliable internet is certainly something desired in the area but we unfortunately only have one provider to choose from which can feel slow by urban standards. Future guests are encouraged to view our pre-trip checklist on our website and also take note that while the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, flatware etc., it is true that we provide a starting supply of disposable items like toilet paper and paper towels.

The place was beyond our dreams of a family vacation in Tahoe. The home was extremely clean, organized, the room layout was efficient with plenty of space to play. It was located perfectly to have a picturesque view of the lake while close enough to walk to hikes and the town for food. We very much enjoyed the cozy home that has everything you need for a warm stay in the winter or a like we experienced a beautiful summer adventure.

Overall, it is a beautiful home with gorgeous views and nice touches. I've stayed up in the Talmont neighborhood many times; I continue to enjoy that location, and the proximity to the Paige Meadows trailhead. The HOA private beach was also very nice (and fairly quiet during the week!). Office staff were polite, welcoming and helpful. As others have noted, it would be a big plus if the owners would invest in some screen doors for the sliders, as well as screens for the windows (there are some windows with screens; most without). The house --especially the main living floor-- gets hot during sunny summer days. Had to have doors/windows open to make it bearable and to cool it off at night; the downside was having to deal w/ yellow-jackets periodically during the day and other bugs at night. Again, screens would have made it much more pleasant. Some well placed window coverings/shutters on the big living room windows would have helped as well. The other caution I would offer is that this is NOT a place for elderly guests. My parents (83 yrs old) were with us. I was prepared for some challenges; however due to the absence of railings in the staircases, it became a real challenge for them. Hand railings would have made all the difference. I certainly take responsibility for not accurately assessing their needs and asking questions about railings.

We hosted a meeting for a group of friends at this location (there were 10 of us) and the home was spectacular and spacious. We had no issues fitting everyone in and enjoyed every moment at the home; from the amazing open concept on the main floor, to the large lake view deck, it was an absolutely perfect location. The property management was also VERY helpful and responsive (even on the weekend!)-really great to work with. This was truly 5-Star aside from some minor areas of suggested improvements which include; -Screens for all functioning windows (only a portion of the windows had screens which made it hard to keep air flowing throughout the home due to pesky mosquitoes and moths) -Sliding door did not have a screen door-again airflow and being able to connect with those on the deck from the kitchen area was a problem. -Blankets in the living room and closet were not all clean/fresh; We would expect these to be cleaned / switched out after each use of the home. -Gas stove top had a burner that would not light and the propane grill had one side that would not ignite so this was a bit of a bummer. Aside from these minor issues I cannot say enough good things about the property and our experience.

We loved our stay here and found the home just right for being able to cook together and hang out but also find private time in the various nooks of the home. The hot tub and sauna were so good after a day on the hill riding and everything we needed was there. The hot tub was being serviced when we got there and they offered us a 10% off next visit and/or an early check in which was really nice too. Everyone we interfaced with was helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay again.

We loved this house. I was very impressed with how clean the house was and how well the kitchen was stocked with decent quality knives, pots, pans and dishes, etc. I know it sounds silly but a lot of cabins or homes have old, crappy pots and dishes. This family has stocked the kitchen so that you can actually cook and prepare real meals for your family. I brought my own knives because we were there for Thanksgiving, but I could easily have relied on what they had on site. It is close to the lake and the views were stunning with a fresh coating of snow. I would rent this place again.

Lovely cabin with gorgeous Lake Tahoe views. We were comfortable, the house is huge and with enough beds for families with kids. The only draw back as mentioned in another review was that the upstairs bedroom is not completely enclosed (there is a partial wall on one side). Plus you share the bathroom with the kids area. Otherwise perfect getaway house.

We really enjoyed out time at Tahoe Point of View. The views from the home were spectacular so spending time on the deck were so enjoyable. The home itself was very nice and comfortable with all its features including a jacuzzi/hot tub. We also enjoyed the HOA access to the lake...very good private space there and not crowded at all. The experience was great and we will likely seek to reserve it again for future trips! (Used to stay in Tahoe Vista primarily but this one made us change locations for future as well.)

This house was great, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a well-appointed home with great views of Lake Tahoe. The house was immaculate and communication with the rental company was great; we will use this company for our future visits to the Tahoe area. The house is just up the hill from the Sunnyside restaurant and private beach area, though you will need to drive down the hill to get there. The house has two very large TVs with cable and Netflix. The kitchen and outdoor grill worked great, we cooked most of our meals at the house and these was plenty of flatware, glasses, plates, skillets, etc. I can’t say this enough...the price was reasonable for the quality of the home and the views were worth every penny. Also, the rental company’s mobile app was outstanding and it made check in easy; they give you a lot of information to help you plan your trip. Highly recommend!

Our family had a great time - we had family members in their 60s, 40s, and kids - and the house was so comfortable! The pictures are accurate and we loved every part of the house! In the kitchen everything is such a nice quality that we loved cooking! Beds were comfortable from everyone's opinions in our family. Can't thank you enough! We did some great hiking just down the street from the house, too! Loved the location!

The cabin was nestled high in the woods with an amazing view of the lake! It was a clean and cozy home with many amenities. Close to all the near by attractions; sandharbor, secret cove, heavenly, truckee river etc... would def. recommend staying with them. The beds and rooms are smaller than they look in pictures but that didn’t stop us from having a great night sleep.

Although there is no direct access to the lake , it is a short car ride or easily reached 10 min bike ride. We had a family vacation at Tahoe Point of View....we hiked and climbed rocks, played games, shopped, watched stars from the hot tub....BBQ'd and baked. Really enjoyed the amenities and the views....oh, the views. Magical views of Lake Tahoe from every window. Waking up to see the view in the morning was simply one wanted to come home. The home is spacious and warm...really had fun playing games, the Wii and watching movies. Felt good to unwind and detach. We are Tahoe-aholics. Addicted and proud of it. This is a home we will come back to. It was clean, nicely laid out, great location and in a quiet neighborhood. It was that perfect (except the kitchen stocking needs to be tended to...and dishwasher leaks). Thanks Tahoe Getaways for recommending such a beautiful home. Neighbors are great, too!

Lovely house with a gorgeous view. The layout worked especially well with our extended family and we appreciated the large garage and enclosed entry in the snow. Great "great room" and kids play room. However, consistent with some prior reviewers, the kitchen is woefully understocked - e.g., no reasonably sized mixing spoons or bowls, no cereal bowls, broken can opener, only 5 non-plastic placemats, probably no more than 3 of any type of cup/glass. There were sufficient pans and pots, thankfully. The property manager brought us a full set of wine glasses promptly after we mentioned that there were only 3 in the house but we didn't feel comfortable giving him a list of the other 20+ missing items. It's kind of silly because it would probably cost the company a few hours and <$100 to restock these items but, instead, it was a constant annoyance for us. We also could not get the espresso machine to work. Otherwise the house was fantastic - fix these minor annoyances and we'd happily rent again! (Though note that if you're sensitive to light while sleeping, beware! Many windows lack window coverings (including a large east facing window in the master BR) and the majority of the window coverings that do exist are sheer. Bring eyeshades!)

Beautiful home. It easily served all of our purposes, was a great location, clean, with an expansive view of the lake. Rooms were comfortable, the great room a fun place to hang out, the hot tub clean and big, and the kitchen great. Two suggestions - get more wine glasses and secure the dishwasher - it tips, dangerously if full of dishes.

Our family of 5 adults and 5 kids enjoyed this home and it's amenities. The HOA swim and park area was a great place to take the kids. The beach in the HOA park is rocky so swim shoes are recommended. The house was very family friendly. We all like to cook so the only negative was the stocking of the kitchen. Teflon pans need to be replaced and knives were very dull. More glassware and wine glasses would be nice. We liked the 3 levels since we had kids of all ages. Very nice home.

We had a wonderful time at our stay at Tahoe Point of View. The house is beautiful, relatively modern, spacious and the view is just magnificent. We enjoyed it every evening from the deck! There were a few minor things that could be done to improve this house: - The kitchen only has the most basic equipment. A kettle, serving utensils and especially serving bowls would be most useful, as would a few more wine glasses and even plates / bowls. - Quite a number of light bulbs needed replacing, especially in the great room. - The bose sound system wasn't working while we were there.
