This modest but comfortable Tahoe Cabin has it all, Lake View, Brand New Hot Tub and Pet Friendly. Silver Tip Vacation Home has a fully stocked deck with a BBQ, hot tub and patio furniture that looks out over Lake Tahoe. This home also includes Tahoe Park Association HOA (see below).

The primary bedroom is located upstairs while the two other rooms are located down stairs. All three bedrooms have queen beds. The living area has cozy wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and large television, a perfect place to relax after a hard day of skiing or hiking.

ABOUT THE AREA
Conveniently located three and a half miles south of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, you’ll find the quiet residential neighborhood known as Talmont Estates. Just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach, the Talmont neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter.

Access to the Lake Tahoe Park Associate HOA beach offers an escape from summer crowds and the convenient location means you’ll never sit in west shore traffic. The Tahoe Park beach offers over three acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, a playground, basketball, bocce ball, volleyball, and picnic areas.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel to Palisades Tahoe which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

We had a fabulous stay for a week! Everything was perfect from weather to the location. Loved the beach and boating area too. Only suggestion is to fix the BBQ grill as the inside drip plate does not stay in place and when it falls it’s too hot to mess with and grease drips to the inside of grill.

House was in excellent condition upon arrival. Very clean and organized. Close proximity to Palisades Tahoe, ~15-20 min drive. Close to downtown Tahoe City, ~5 min drive. Not close to waterfront, in my opinion. Probably a solid mile from the water with a straight uphill walk. There is a HOA lake front that you can drive to. The only negatives with this house were their entertainment features. The TV and entertainment are very old. These seem like very reasonable upgrades given the return on investment and decreased footprint with newer devices.

Comfortable stay, wish there were more amenities

This was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay with a modern kitchen, very comfortable beds and a perfect location for our small family. We had no issues during our stay and everything worked perfectly. However, when we arrived at 4pm the house was freezing and notes on the countertop told us that the heater would take a while to warm up the house. It took us about 5 hours to get to a comfortable temperature, and it stayed nice and warm throughout the weekend. I just wish that they turned on the heat in advance of our stay, considering that we got a text that the house was ready 2 hours before. There was also a lack of amenities in the kitchen, simple things like cooking oil. Other houses we have stayed at have not been as beautifully remodeled, but were cozier because of all the amenities like kid's toys, everything you could need to cook, etc etc. All in all though, it was a nice stay and I would definitely return.

We do turn all homes to 68 degrees prior to guest arrivals, but because this home's heating system is unique we do appreciate your patience in waiting for the home to reach a comfortable temperature. Additionally, we advise guests to bring their own supply of disposable amenities (e.g. oil, spices, etc.) or check the home once they arrive before heading to a grocery store as we do not inventory these items in-between guest stays.

We were not able to use the hot tub for the first night we were there because the snow wasn't cleared from the roof. We prefer houses with hot tubs so we were bummed.

While we do guaruntee there will be at least one towel per person based on the maximum occupancy of the home, depending on group size or desired usage, some renters may want more. We suggest our guests come prepared with any beach towels or excess hot tub towels they require!

House is very nice. I liked how it was well stocked with supplies ,dishes, pots Rooms very clean. Had an issue with shower head but called and the shower was fixed quickly. Very pleased with home will rent it again. Took my three kids and they loved the house as well. Will be back soon

I stayed in this house for about a week and each day was better than the last. The house is a great size and has three bedrooms. The star of the house is the outdoor porch. We were able to soak up the sun and enjoy sitting outside! What a wonderful house.

We were a family of five visiting from the East Coast for a ski vacation. The location of the house was great - close to Tahoe City for shopping and restaurants. The house accommodated us well. My only real criticism is that some of the appliances are dated - the stove didn't heat up food well (frozen pizza was soggy even after being in oven for an hour). It snowed when we were there and the snow clearing service was excellent. The wood burning stove was a real bonus and heated the living space well. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck immensely! Overall it was a fantastic experience.

The agent I worked with was really nice and efficient. The windows need a good cleaning, have film on them. Beds comfortable, downstairs bathroom needs better shower head. Otherwise, location great, house clean.

Reasonable Tahoe Rental

For the price, this rental is right. It is basic, and a bit dated, but comfortably fit 3 adults and 1 child (can accomodate more). Perfect for a convenient rental near Squaw Valley. We cooked a couple of nights and everything was in working order. Clean, internet worked, and great added bonus of a washer/dryer.... would definitely consider renting again!

My family and I stayed here for a wek and had a great time. The home is ideally located, private and has all the amenities. Great hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. The garage was key for managing snow and keeping the car ready. One knock would be the wifi connection was weak and sometimes absent. Maybe it was the severe snow storms... Overall would use again without hesitation!

We loved the Silver Tip house itself. Very comfortable for my family of 6 adults and 1 child. And the wood stove kept us warm and cozy. However, we had to dig out all the snow on the hot tub, it was only partially uncovered. Also had to dig out the garbage bear box. The free internet did not work. And couldn't get the washing machine to turn on when leaving. Good thing we brought enough clothes! Getting there was a horrible experience after the recent snow storm! After sitting in traffic for 2 hrs from an accident on Hwy 89, we got stuck (along with many other cars) on Big Pine Rd only 1/2 mile from the house! Only a 4WD could make it up the road without stopping! Luckily one of our son's has one. THEN the lockbox was frozen shut! So, if this house was more accessible in winter we would definitely rent it again... or if we get a 4WD!

The home was clean and inviting. It had all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. Each bed had cozy and warm down comforters, the kitchen was fully equipped and we loved the fireplace! There were sleds in the garage for kids to enjoy.

Overall, a great getaway. We enjoyed the cozy fire and the hot tub as the snow fell (and fell and fell). Having the garage and frequent plowings of the driveway really helped in what turned out to be a major storm. Thanks!! Very comfortable and warm location.

We were very happy with the property. Very well equipped, clean, well kept - kitchen well stocked, nice amenities and general comfort. Hot tub was a nice addition too on a snowy evening. Especially loved being able to pull the car in the garage! Suggestions for informing people considering this property - basic cable only. Let people know that the property is at a higher elevation than Tahoe City. It is a little daunting coming down the hill when the roads are icy. Tahoe Get Aways property management very attentive to the one issue we had which was a non-operational coffee maker. They replaced it the same day! Their mobile app made it SUPER easy to get access, updates and check out.

GreaT cottage for a small group in Tahoe City

The cottage was perfect: from the outside hot tub to the thoroughly stocked kitchen; everything a small group needs to enjoy Tahoe is there. Had a problem with one bathroom and it was solved by management in 10 minutes. Highly reccomended!

A couple of housekeeping issues: master bedroom sheets not washed well and appeared soiled - we left them as found with notes, soap dispenser had a long black human hair on it. Great value and nice garage. Great snow removal service but needs to be extended to include deck. Add more hooks to mud room for clothing. Good heating, we did not use wood burning stove or hot tub.

The house was nice and clean. The rooms were nicely sized and everyone was comfortable. The bed in the master was VERY squeaky though. The deck area is great and the hot tub is large. I did find it a bit weird that the fencing around the deck didn't go all the way to the bottom, there was a gap of a few inches. The only thing I found to be a bit lacking from the description were the kitchen amenties. The HOA area was great too, although a bit crowded.

Pros: Deck w view, hot tub, 2 bath/3 room. Tahoe Park access. Even w cons, would rent again. Cons: Home not updated in 15-20+ years, most importantly beds soft/squeaky, sheets/towels old, a bit odd to have flannel & denim duvets in summer time. Hot water goes cold in 1 or 2 showers if used at same time. Kitchen supplies more limited than most. Seating tight for more than 4, Six is maximum/very tight. Was easily able to reach property management at check in, about hot tub, and when we left something behind...still waiting to see if item has not been thrown out and is returned (for a fee, which is understandable, if they have to make a trip). Professional.

The kitchen set up was less than optimal. There was no room for any food for the week. It is stocked like someone lives there but doesn't eat there. The cooking utensils were either old and disfunctional or none exsistant. Great BBQ on the deck, no BBQ tools. Salt and pepper were the only spices. We always plan meals and cook almost every meal; the kitchen was a disappointment. If we weren't going to cook, we'd stay at a hotel. The deck needs attention too. Dry rot has exposed some weak spots. Otherwise great house... Thanks.

We stayed at this cabin for 2 weeks in June and enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend this cabin. The view from the deck is fantastic, better than the pictures show, and has new lounge furniture that is very comfortable. It is well-stocked, easy to settle into, and in a great location. We loved the trails up the street in Paige Meadows.

My wife, newborn and I met up with our freinds who have two daughters and a dog. The house was perfect - great location and spread out enough that we never felt cramped or all on top of each other. The hot tub on the deck served as the ideal end to each day looking up at the stars. Private homeowners beach down the street was great and we were only a short drive from town. Overall - great value and great experience.

the house was clean, comfortable, well equipped. It is always nice to find sharp knives, and some spices in a rental house. However, getting there requires driving up a very steep road. Our car was equipped with 4 WD and snow tires and we slid off the road.
