Description

With stunning panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and all the comforts you could need in this mountain home, you may never want to leave.  This home sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe and is surrounded by endless adventure and beauty creating the perfect Tahoe Getaway.

On the main level of this home, you will find a beautifully laid-out open concept living room and dining room area.  With large floor-to-ceiling windows, the living room is the perfect place to relax and soak in the amazing views of Lake Tahoe.  In the summer you can enjoy the large deck area with outdoor furniture and BBQ (not available in winter months) creating the perfect space for entertaining.  In the winter you can curl up next to the cozy fireplace and enjoy one of Tahoe’s famous sunsets from the comfort of your own living room.  In this same space is a beautiful large kitchen with plenty of space, granite countertops, and an effortless view of the living room making it easy to stay connected and enjoy the view while cooking dinner. 

The primary bedroom is also on the main level with large windows overlooking the lake.  On top of waking up to scenic views, this bright and comfortable room features a king bed and its own ensuite primary bathroom with jack and jill sinks, a large soaking tub, and a separate shower.  

Downstairs you will find an entertainment area with large flat screen tv, fireplace, and access to a second porch overlooking the lake.  Finishing off the downstairs is two bedrooms, an additional sleeping area, and a full bathroom.  The first bedroom looks out over the lake and has a queen bed.  The second bedroom has two full beds and a large closet.  Lastly, the additional sleeping area has a queen bed and a door outside to a quaint and quiet sitting area with a small table and chairs for the summer, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. 

The view at this house is definitely a main feature but there is so much more to enjoy.  This home is surrounded by endless hiking and biking trails in the summer and has access to two private beaches offered by the Rubicon Homeowners Association.  In the winter this home is a short drive from the slopes of Homewood Resort, one of Tahoe’s best ski resorts.

ABOUT THE AREA
Rubicon Bay is located on the majestic West Shore of Lake Tahoe in an area known as the “Gold Coast.”  Positioned just south of Meeks Bay and Sugar Pine Point State Park, this area is known for its seclusion. The sun-drenched sandy beaches and awe-inspiring views of Lake Tahoe have kept visitors coming back for generations.

Choose the difficult but rewarding Rubicon Peak Trailhead at the back of this neighborhood, or take a short drive to Meeks Bay Marina or D.L.Bliss State Park for alternate hiking, biking, and snowshoeing options. Homewood Mountain Resort is only 8 miles North, proving you can have seclusion and convenience. 

This home is not in South Lake Tahoe. On a summer day, it may take a 30-minute drive, but renters should note that in winter months, the highway between this home and South Lake Tahoe often closes.

POLICIES AND DISCLOSURES: 
1. Maximum daytime and nighttime occupancy is 8 adults, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age. Sleeping Arrangements for 8.
2. Parking for 2 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round. Garage is excluded from the rental. Used for owner storage. 
3. 4WD is strongly encouraged in the winter months.
4. This home is not equipped with cable, has an app-based LIVE TV. 
5. BBQ is seasonal and will not be available in the winter months. 
6. The downstairs fireplace is a pellet stove, guests will need to provide their own pellets to use it.  
7. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires. 

El Dorado County Regulations:
1. Quiet hours must be observed between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
2. Occupancy is limited between 10 PM and 8 AM.
3. Maximum occupancy is enforced at all times.
4. Any violations may result in a fine.

Fabulous view! Perfect for Thanksgiving

My family flew in from Canada for Thanksgiving. The house was perfect! Each morning we watched the sunrise over the East Shore and appreciated the view from the balcony and privacy of the house. The private beach was beautiful and accessible by a 10 min car ride. The kitchen was well stocked, including coffee machine and turkey roasting pan. Our stay couldn't have been better.

The home was fabulous - amazing views. It was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed. We stayed for a 3-day weekend and absolutely loved it. We also enjoyed the private beach!
