With a sunny eastern exposure, this recently renovated residence sits on a hillside overlooking Lake Tahoe.  Walking down the meandering stone path to the home, you approach the front patio, Adirondack chairs and pergola with cafe lights….a perfect place for evening conversations with a glass of wine.  On the back of the home is an expansive deck with large spa, patio table and BBQ…so sunny you’ll be tan in no time.
The front door opens to an airlock entry with a main floor that immediately looks out to blue skies, mountain ranges and the waters of Lake Tahoe.  With expansive wood floors and high white ceilings the interior is bright, upbeat but also quite intimate.  The kitchen and TV room are open with a gas stove for extra heat and ambience and both rooms look out to a beautiful forested setting. These two rooms can be closed off via french doors for privacy.  The dining room has a large expandable wooden table for plenty of guests and it’s lit by a beautiful chandelier and surrounded by artwork.
The dining area opens to the living room centered around a gas fireplace and large TV. Â There is a comfortable blue sectional for enjoying your favorite shows plus a reading chair for delving into your half read book. Â Off the living room is a large office with a high capacity printer and tables with plenty of desk space. Â Almost all of the furnishings on the first floor are custom and brand new.
Two skylights brighten your accent up the stairs to the second level which has three bedrooms including the primary suite with king bed and reading sofa plus ensuite bath and soaking tub. Â The two additional bedrooms share a bath with shower. Â All bedrooms look out to Lake Tahoe.
This Old County Rd address is convenient to Tahoe City and all amenities on the North and West Shore of the lake plus a short drive to Truckee.

ABOUT THE AREA
Originally named for the semi-precious red and yellow stones peppering the shoreline, today Carnelian Bay is a favorite among dogs, kayakers, SUPers and sunset seekers. Located between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, this laid back lake side town is known for great paddle boarding and “Wet Woodys” on the deck at Gar Woods Grill & Pier.
Nestled into the hills, this home offers gorgeous lake views and is just a short drive down to the shore. Both Skylandia Beach and Patton Landing are less than a five minute drive from the home. Want lake access even closer? Public beach access is available where Lardin Way meets North Lake Blvd, less than a mile from your door.
Skylandia State Park features a pier, swimming area, barbecues, picnic areas and hiking and biking trails. Patton Landing is Carnelian Bay’s three acre pebbly beach, home to Waterman’s Landing, a gourmet coffee house and a full service café.
In the winter, this neighborhood is centrally located between all of North Lake Tahoe’s premier ski areas. You are just 20 minutes from Northstar California, Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) and Homewood Mountain Resort.
