Originally built as a 1960s lakeside cabin, the home has been meticulously remodeled to preserve its historic character while introducing high-end contemporary amenities. Expansive windows throughout the residence showcase breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe, filling the interior with natural light and serene alpine beauty.
The chef’s kitchen is designed for both entertaining and everyday comfort, featuring premium appliances, dual dishwashers, and a large walk-in pantry. Multiple living and sitting areas on the main level invite relaxation, anchored by two gas fireplaces set within the original stone surrounds.

The private primary suite occupies the southern wing of the home, offering uninterrupted lake views, a reading nook, a spacious walk-in closet, and separate his-and-her full bathrooms. Two additional guest suites are located on the north end of the home, including a lakefront bedroom with direct outdoor access.

Upstairs, a whimsical twin bedroom and family media room provide the perfect retreat for younger guests, while the lower level features a classic Tahoe bunk room with double-sized bunks—ideal for families and groups.

Outside, the property boasts a private pier with direct access to Lake Tahoe, landscaped grounds, and a quiet setting that feels worlds away yet remains close to Tahoe City amenities and the bike path. ABOUT THE AREA
Conveniently located two miles south of Tahoe City, you’ll find the quintessential Tahoe neighborhood of Sunnyside. This heavily wooded section on Lake Tahoe’s west shore features old Tahoe-style homes and classic cabins. Homes in this neighborhood are all centrally located between Homewood and Tahoe City.

Just down the road you’ll find Sunnyside Resort and Marina and William Kent Shoreline. William Kent Beach is situated in a wooded setting and offers picnic tables and grills with views across Lake Tahoe of the eastern shoreline. Next door, Sunnyside Resort is a favorite year-round lakeside dining option.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort or travel just twenty minutes to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe.  Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

POLICIES AND DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Day Time & Night Time Occupancy is 12, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age.
2. Parking for 6 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Boaters must provide their own mooring lines.  Tahoe Getaways cannot provide watercraft of any kind; guests must provide their own means of transport from the pier to the buoy.  Depending on the water level, the pier may be too shallow to navigate for some boats.
4. Please note: A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival, at which point the reservation becomes fully non-refundable.
5. The use of ANY outdoor firepit or outdoor fireplace is strictly prohibited at all our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping to keep our community safe from wildfires.
