Enter at the split level and you'll be drawn upstairs to the home's common space. An open floor plan and superior décor will be there to greet you. While there is natural light aplenty, unique light fixtures adorn the home's high ceilings. Touches that most upscale travelers will appreciate include a chef's kitchen with Monogram appliances, quartz countertops, a large kitchen island with a built-in beverage fridge, and the rolled blue steel fireplace encasement. This level offers a paver patio out back as well as two decks at the front of the home- one being private to the Primary Bedroom.

Along with the perks of having its own outdoor space, occupants of the Primary also enjoy a king bed, TV, large soaking tub, and heated bathroom flooring. Don't worry- the Primary isn't the only room with the comfort of paramount importance! Two other bedrooms with king beds lie just down the hall which creates a bit of privacy from the children in the group who will naturally occupy the bottom floor.

For the young ones, travel downstairs where the bunk room awaits- along with so much more! A game room outfitted with a very sizable TV, ping pong table, and two comfortable lounging couches finishes off the downstairs. If that's not enough adventure for the family, this home offers quick and easy access to hiking and biking trails and sits just around the corner from the Adventure Center and Nordic Ski Center.

ABOUT THE AREA
Tahoe Donner is one of America’s largest homeowner’s associations, with nearly 6,500 properties and 25,000 members enjoying over 7,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada mountains. In the winter, enjoy on-site access to cross country and downhill skiing, and a snow play area which is a favorite among our younger visitors. In the summer, take advantage of the championship golf course and clubhouse or bring the family to one of the private swimming pool complexes. You’ll also have access to a private beach club at Donner Lake, where you can avoid the crowds and spend a day paddle boarding, kayaking or sunbathing on provided chaise lounges.

Dining options within the community include The Lodge Restaurant and Pub, winner of the 2015 Open Table Diners’ Choice Award, and Pizza on the Hill, a casual spot perfect for the whole family.

Compared to other North Shore Tahoe locations, staying in Tahoe Donner cuts the drive from the bay area down by close to 45 minutes, so you’ll be enjoying the first cocktail of your vacation while others are still stuck in traffic. Tahoe Donner is minutes away from Historic Downtown Truckee, about 12 miles from Northstar California and 16 miles from Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows).

Included with your rental are two guest cards providing access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Each guest card allows access for up to four guests over the age of 6. Very nice newer home with high quality furnishing and finishes. The great room with a huge couch and lots of windows was a relaxing place to hang out with family. The house was clean and felt cozy and welcoming despite its more modern style. A couple of things in the kitchen we would have expected given the price of this home is a better coffee maker. The coffee maker only makes 4 cups for a house that has a dining room that seats 10 people. There were no measuring spoons for dry ingredients or mixing bowls. We were able to make these things work but for the price of the home I would expect these items to be available to guests. Overall, Harmony Ridge is a very nice home and I would stay there again.
