2. Parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Boat trailers must be parked in the driveway which can accommodate a 24' long trailer. Most marinas offer boat trailer storage, but availability can be limited. Ask a Tahoe Getaways agent for a referral.
4. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.

Overall

House looks good freshly painted and the new double panned glass picture windows keep the sounds of traffic on Highway 89 way down. The new bear electric fence does the job. House was really clean when we arrived. The hot tub cover is torn and needs replacing. Service at the Tahoe Getaways is always good especially Keri who is great.

Everything was great, except there was not enough bath towels & utensils. Should have extra forks & spoons. I have stayed in other Vrbo and they have two sets of utensil. Had to wash a load of bath towels for the next day. Check out should be extended until at least 11, without an extra charge.

Thank you for your feedback, Nella. Our homes come stocked with enough towels and utensils for its max occupancy (in this home's case, 10). Guests who typically desire additional towels for hot tub use or to ensure no laundry is needed should come prepared.

We have rented this property 3x and really love the setting, and it’s a great location. It is very comfortable and we love the new kitchen. We wish there was a powder room but the house really has a nice flow!. Your service and email reminders/suggestions were helpful. Thank you for a great vacation!

Fine Traditional Lake House

We were sad to leave this spacious house with its gorgeous lake view, privacy, and many amenities. The deck with hot tub, shaded by huge trees, is large and accommodates family meals, hanging out, even yoga. The kitchen is fully functional, with good appliances and all necessary dishes and utensils. Beds are comfortable and linens/towels are plentiful. Lake access is great, with beach and dock right across the street. The neighborhood is lovely Old Tahoe. Negatives are few: Bathrooms, esp. showers, are old and not really up to standard. Road noise is constant but acceptable.

The bathrooms were terribly inadequate in size. The owner should immediately invest in bath room remodeling. The front stone walkway is a liability claim waiting to happen due to the numerous uneven stones that are far from level and smooth. You should also make multiple keys available to your guests. It was almost a big problem for us. Some window coverings on the front side of the home would add to the privacy. On the positive side...The kitchen was very nice and the beds were all very comfortable, having a garage was a big bonus and we had a wonderful time at Evans.

While the home has gone through wonderful upgrades to the kitchen this year, we don't know of any plan to update the bathroom size or change the stepping stone walkway. As for the keys, we always suggest our renters leave the key in the lock box and disperse the code among your group so that everyone can come and go as they please!

The new kitchen that the owner put in last Fall/Winter is very nice. They did a good job. Nicole with Tahoe Getaways is very helpful and tries to make it a good stay for the family. Rich (Operations) is a nice guy. He brought us extra bath mats ( hard to believe that people take these things) and then he set up the deck furniture (stored in the garage) for our use without being asked. The code for the community pier gate did not match the information sheet for renters. Nicole straighten that out. The pier gate was sticking and not responding to the correct code. We finally got it opened --with the help of a year round resident. We scrapped rust off the latch and applied some WD-40 oil and it seemed to work fine after that. People at Tahoe Getaways do a good job. We will be back next year.

Management staff helpful when we discovered we had a shortage of towels. More were delivered within an hour. Last guest had allowed their dog to sleep on one of the beds so the cover had a lot of dog hair and the front yard had several dog droppings that had to be avoided. The property location is excellent.

Thank you for your review, we are so happy we were able to help! We do ask renters who choose bring along a dog to clean up after their pet. We also ask that they not allow dogs on the furniture as dog hair can be very difficult to remove from certain materials, so I'm sorry that this was the case. We have since deep cleaned the property and this shouldn't be an issue moving forward.

Tahoe Getaways staff provided our door code in a timely manner BEFORE we left for Tahoe this year and that was very helpful. Did not have to call once we arrived and get the code. The House was especially clean this year with little touches of care that made it very welcoming. The newer hot tub was appreciated. The new front windows made the view terrific. The owner took the time and expense to upgrade the house a little and it really helped make it welcoming. The management of Tahoe Getaways upon hearing we had no hangers in the closets quickly responded and bought us some new ones and were quickly delivered. This was appreciated. My daughter asked if a bottled counter cleaner could be included in the kitchen so she could clean the counters before leaving for home,

We really enjoyed the home. Comfy beds, great layout, and beautiful views. Only complaint is that the oven was missing racks.Tahoe Getaways, and especially Logan, were great to rent from (assuming we don't get any bullkakki cleaning charges after I write this).

We had our first experience renting a home in Tahoe. We especially wanted the west shore and a home with a view. We got our view and what a beautiful view it is. Everyday coffee in the am with the view, cocktails in the pm with the view. Corn Hole on the deck with the view, in the hot tub with the view. We would rent here again, comfortable inside with the exception the bathrooms in need of updating, but we were there for the view which was wonderful.

Location terrific. Cynthia and Logan were very helpful and courteous members of the staff. We try to be good guests and empty the garbage, wash the dishes and strip the beds before we leave. So, you can understand why we were taken back by one of the beds upstairs full of ants! Do not think housekeeping changed the sheets, so maybe there were crumbs in the bed. Also,when we arrived, we had no towels and had to call the management staff. They quickly got housekeeping to get us the proper amount of towels. Housekeeping told us not to call management in the future if there was a problem as they did not want to be fired. All else was clean and good. We will be back again next year in June and September.

We had a great stay, the view from the patio is very nice. House condition overall was good there were some webs on the wall and backyard could have been cleaned but otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay.

Large Home with a Great View!

This home was great for our group of 8 adults + 2 children. The furniture and beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to spread out with the living room and additional TV room off the kitchen. The bathrooms and kitchen are quite dated, but functional. We had some issues with the internal racks in the oven, which would fall off of their clips every time we pulled something from the oven. It is worth looking into a repair. Additionally, we had issues with the Hot Tub not maintaining temperature. The first night it was 84 degrees. Maintenance was called, and it warmed to 99 by the next morning. Unfortunately, by end of day, the screen was once again flashing a fault and it was down to 97. Would be nice to have a more reliable hot tub for the house and be able to enjoy the view from the backyard from the tub.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

We had great weekend on the west shore, really the best location around the lake. The property had spacious bedrooms and plenty of living and deck space for all the kids and adults to spread out and have fun. It was not clear to us from the pictures but there are 2 bedrooms downstairs that are identical queen rooms - they are the smaller of the four rooms but still fit the pack-n-plays for the babies just fine. Upstairs is a large room with a king and then a bunk room wth 4 twins. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we won't be coming back for a few reasons: the bathrooms were teeny tiny and difficult to share. They are also in dire need of maintenance, they were so worn out they felt dirty when we checked in - very dated, rusty, linoleum pealing up, etc. The backyard is huge and fenced in, but there is no lawn, it is pine straw and rough brush so the kids could not run around and play as much as we'd normally see them do. The beach is right across the street and absolutely stunning views from the home and the pier. Just know that the beach is very pebbly/rocky so it is not where you would go to have a full beach day in the sand. We went to the pier in the evenings to watch the sunset - a must do.

Location was within 3 minutes of Homewood resort!! Not many people nearby which was awesome, but everything we needed was nearby. Beautiful view of Tahoe from the house and the hot tub. Just had a great time!!!

Although the house is older and the kitchen DEFINATELY needs an update, this was a great house for us. A beautiful view of the lake from the back porch, and we REALLY appreciate being able to bring our dog. We would love to come back!

This cabin had plenty of room and was right by the lake! Stayed for a weekend to end the summer and everybody had a good time. Right across the street from the lake. I stayed up on night to watch the sunrise and the cabin has this huge window you can watch it from and it was beautiful.

Nice big deck, with great views. Worked well for extended family. We could see 3 firework displays on 7/4. Nice beds and bedding, well stocked kitchen. Internet was spotty. Broken kitchen tiles on counter was concern as far as cleanliness goes. Hot tub was hit! Lakeside living/kitchen windows did not open for air circulation and did not have window coverings. Need screen door on lakeside to allow for fresh air. Road noise was present. But the views were great!
