From the moment we walked in, we knew Eagle's Nest was the place for us. The layout of the house is ideal for creating some separation, but also has three different decks for the most amazing views of the Alpine Valley. Playing pool/ping pong downstairs is super fun, but the large dining room table upstairs is a great place for card games. I highly recommend this property for groups of 7-8 who appreciate the view, the quiet and the stars.

Beautiful location with a stunning view, conveniently located to hiking, tubing and Squaw Valley. Short drives to Incline Village to the North and Emerald Bay to the South. That said, the house was not in the condition advertised when we rented it. Totally not outfitted for summer rental. I understand no air conditioning, but there were no window fans available. Little to no outdoor furniture available and initial complaint to Tahoe Getaways was responded to literally with "well that is what the owner provides." When I put my concerns in writing the second day of our stay, Tahoe Getaways was very responsive, arriving same day with 3 box fans and new patio furniture. In general, we had a great time at this beautiful home, but the owners really do not go out of their way at all to ensure things are comfortable or convenient for their guests. We traveled in from NJ so impossible for us to carry things like a cooler, some beach chairs, anything that could be used to enjoy a summer outing...there is zero attempt to provide. Something as simple as directions to the community lake would have been appreciated...instead we were left to own devices to find. Lake Tahoe was beautiful, the neighborhood was fantastic, the house was gorgeous and the views breathtaking...but with just a little effort and attention to detail, I would have been more than happy to provide a spectacular review.

Really enjoyed our story. Management company was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. It's an exceptionally large house. Not really a complaint, because I don't think there was much that could be done because of all the snow, but every outdoor deck area was buried in snow with just a pathway carved out for the hot tub. It was great if you wanted to go skiing/snowboarding, so it ultimately did not take away from our enjoyment of the house. Only minor issues, are that potentially some of the decor is a bit dated and the wall to wall carpeting could be a bit off putting.

Loved the house, very comfortable for 10 of us. All the amenities were available and the kitchen functioned well. Except my 5 ft. Wife had difficulty with the high counter so she called Tahoe Getaways for help with step stool and they responded right away with one providing her with a more comfortable way of cooking. I might also add the house was only 1/2 mile from Alpine Meadows and five miles from Squaw Valley. All in all a great stay. We would recommend Tohoe Getaways and go directly through them as Airbnb rips you off for $560 finders fee!

The home has a terrific location with very close proximity to Alpine Meadows. Nice family room and lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The large garage fit our Suburban with a cargo box on top. Carpet, bedding and towels could be refreshed. Kitchen drawers and garage could be more tidy and organized. Overall, beautiful views from the living room and enjoyed family time spent at the home. Good points- The view is always amazing and you can hike out to the 5 lakes hike without right down the need to drive Super clean when we got there..loved that cleaning staff responded to my request and used no fragrance, or at least less strong smelling laundrysoap The view is always amazing Bad- hot tub had a bad smell coming from it.. like old garbage with crab in itt.. made sitting out on the deck less fun Need an upgrade on bedding in the downstairs big bedroom Need some big platters for serving food and some real glass wine glasses.

This house is homey and clean. It is a great location that is central to all local activities. The siting of the home is spectacular - one of the highest in this neighborhood with mountains 360. The house is structured so every bedroom is private with plenty of bathrooms. The only mitigating factor is that some of the interior is worn out. Eg carpets, kitchen sink faucet, some of the furniture. A relatively small renewal would make it perfect. Tahoe Getaways provides wonderful service and supplies were ample.

The location was good and the house was good in so far as the architecture is concerned. There were plenty of bed sheets and towels. However there were lots of spots on the carpet, the furniture was in Poor condition with Two large tears in one couch. There is not a lot of Furniture to relax and the furniture was very old and had a musty smell. The kitchen floor Tiles were coming out and cracked considerably making it difficult to get sleep for the sleeping in the bedroom below.

We stayed at Eagles Nest for a week. Perfect location for our family, who prefers the feeling of being slightly isolated from neighbors and civilization, while still being conveniently close to town, beaches, and amenities. A short 10 min drive to the grocery store, golf course, or spa (Squaw). If you like to "get away from it all" yet still enjoy the convenience of proximity to restaurants, groceries, and beaches, this is the place for you. Easily fit our group of 4 adults, 2 teens, 3 little ones. Hot tub, pool table/game room, AMAZING deck with VIEWS, no fire out tho. All amenities you could want otherwise. No yard, but that was okay for us. Fantastic little swimming hole is a 5 min walk, great alternative for those days you want to stay close to home. Stunner views from every room. No A/C, but fans provided for all rooms in summer. Great entertaining kitchen. Carpets were thrashed upon our arrival, but it didn't bother us as we rented late summer. There was a high chair and child dishes upon arrival, nice if you have a toddler and was not in description when we rented. There are lots of stairs. Property management extremely attentive to our needs, very friendly and responsive. Washer/dryer broke while we were there, and replacement was scheduled immediately. Furniture was slightly older, but decent for a rental. Extremely clean upon arrival, but carpets very dirty/stained. Very few bath towels and no beach towels or chairs provided. Unfortunate that the washer/ dryer broke, because we were rationing towels while there. Still, this is an awesome place that won't disappoint! Only thing missing is a fire pit, but definitely not a deal breaker.

We had a great time at the Eagle's Nest. You can't stay any closer to Alpine Meadows than this house. House was well equipped and had plenty of room for our group of 8. House/rooms are segmented, which was nice for some privacy and quiet at night. We couldn't get the wifi to function, which was a bit of bummer since some of us needed to work. Overall, excellent spot!

I couldn't think of a better location to ride out a blizzard with family. Closed roads, avalanches, downed trees, regional power outage, and too much snow to ski. And yet we all had a wonderful time taking in the beauty of it all. Thankfully, the gas fireplace kept us warm and the pool table kept us occupied. There was an emergency box with flashlights and matches that could use some additional supplies like working batteries. Beds were cozy with plenty of blankets and linens and the kitchen was well equipped.

We had a wonderful time at Eagles Nest! My husband and I share dthe house with our daughter, son-in-law and their 3 children and our son and daughter-in-law and grandson. It was roomy and perfect for our needs. The garage was a plus with the snow and cold weather at night. We liked the closeness to skiing and walks in the neighborhood. The best part was that when you were inside, you still got the enjoy the beauty outside - lots of windows in every room!

This was our second time at the house and loved it just as much the second time , with a couple of exceptions . The views are amazing and you can take a beautiful hike right out from the house without driving anywhere . My only issues this year were that the house seemed that it had seen a lot of wear and tear over the summer and the rug was pretty trashed. Also, the smell of the laundry detergent on the sheets was over powering. Both of these are easy fixes and the house itself is fantastic!

The rental was clean. However there were some broken items. These were not too much trouble but should be addressed. The hot tub did work but there were a few things that didn't work with it. The controls for the flow of air were not working. The base that is around the tub is broke, and is a safety concern with screws and wood exposed that can cause injury. The house could use some attention to the entertainment system. It is very poorly put together. The main upstairs TV had wires hanging out and is another safety issue for any visiting children. I had my grand children there and I kept them away from the exposed wires. The internet was not working. This was a problem. The property management left a hot spot. The cell signal for this was not any good. There were a lot of light bulbs not working in this house as well. I don't know if this is an electrical issue or not. I was disappointed with the lack of care on these details. Safety is important to me. I'm sure it is to you as well. On a good note: The kitchen was great. It was fully stocked with dishes and cookware. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also cleans and very nice. The pool table was OK. Games and other items were available for us to use. That was nice. And the over all the home was good for my family gathering. We enjoyed going to Kings Beach and checking out the local musical entertainment. I am glad I booked the house at Lake Tahoe.

Our family had a great week staying at this house. The location was great and the house had pretty much everything we needed. The only exception was the wifi connection. Neither the Verizon hot spot that was provided by property mgmt nor the house wifi worked. We had to use our own Verizon mobile phone hot spot until someone came out on Thursday to fix the hot spot that was provided by the property mgmt. We had been told earlier in the week that there was no service to the house which was a lot of hoot as our mobile hot spot worked. The house wifi never worked. There was excellent Verizon service, Sprint not so good. The other thing about this house is that it was built for very tall people i.e the kitchen cabinet and many counters are higher than normal. Fortunately, we had some tall people in our party. If you are short, you will need to use a stool to reach the upper cabinets. Other than that, we loved the house and the location. The property mgmt was easy to reach and the only issue we had was over the wifi.

We stayed at the Wonderful Eagles Nest Home for 5 fabulous days! We are a family of 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 small children. The room with a pool table was such a plus as it provided space for the kids to hang out together and make noise while we cooked and watched TV upstairs. We barbecued, ate on the patio, spent time in the hot tub and played games at night at the big dining room table. The house had everything we needed and more. I have already recommended this place to my friends and co-workers. We LOVED it and will be back again!

We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend, 3 families in total. The location was great. The house had the wear and tear you would expect on a 15 year old vacation rental, so don't expect a mint condition house. But overall it was clean and comfortable. The kids had a great time and the house was large enough for them to have their own area to play. One thing is the bedrooms get a lot of sunlight early in the morning so it's hard to sleep in. One annoying thing is you have to drop off your garbage at the dump near the entrance of Alpine Meadows. But that goes for all the units there. I think this would be great in the ski season as it's very close to the resort.

Would absolutely rent this house again! Spacious, well stocked, amazing scenery, and modern kitchen appliances. We traveled with 7 adults and 3 children under the age of 3 and the house was plenty big enough for everyone. The upstairs master even has a big enough closet for a pack-n-play so one of the babies slept soundly in the closet. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need - even a slow cooker! We were close enough to Alpine to come back for lunch mid-day. All around best rental house I have ever rented.
