The Joy Foundation’s mission is to support independent artists and strengthen communities through the creation of high-quality musical events and educational programs that celebrate music, performance, and artistry. We spread joy by uplifting local artists, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses while fostering environmental stewardship through meaningful community engagement.

A Joy Foundation program, the Tahoe Joy Festival is a free, one-day benefit music festival at Tahoe City’s Commons Beach, inspired by the idea that music is meant to be shared freely—creating connection, supporting local nonprofits, and welcoming generations together in joy.
