Celebrate the reopening of Fanny Bridge at the Dedication & Community Block Party with live music featuring The Blues Monsters, family activities, and a festive gathering to mark this exciting milestone for Tahoe City on May 17 from 12-4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will feature a bridge dedication ceremony at 12 p.m., recognizing the significance of the project and the partnerships that made it possible. The new bridge improves traffic flow, pedestrian access, and safety.
The afternoon will feature a free community block party starting at 1 p.m. with booths from local and regional agencies and nonprofits, offering opportunities to learn about programs, projects, and initiatives happening throughout the Tahoe Basin. Attendees can explore informational exhibits, connect with community partners, and learn more about the region’s future.
There will be free family-friendly activities at the event, giant games, big truck displays and more.
Bridgetender and River Grill will also be offering special food items for event-goers. Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition will host a free bike valet for event-goers.
The Fanny Bridge Dedication and Community Block Party is designed as a family-friendly community gathering, welcoming residents and visitors alike to celebrate Tahoe City together.
