Many recent upgrades to this home make it even more attractive; including brand new furniture, high quality bedding, and large flat-screen televisions in both the great room and downstairs entertainment room.

Upstairs, the Great Room is perfectly set up for a large group with plenty of seating, well-equipped kitchen, and opens up to two sunny lake view decks. The first bedroom is also located on the main level and the master bedroom is located down the hall offering a wonderful lake view and a TV/DVD.

Downstairs your group will LOVE the entertainment room complete with wet bar. After enjoying the outdoors all day, relax on the leather sectional or play a round of pool. The three remaining bedrooms are located downstairs and the kids will love the bunk rooms, both with enough room to hang out too!

ABOUT THE AREA

Located halfway between Homewood and Meek’s Bay along Lake Tahoe’s west shore, you’ll find Tahoma, a quiet and quintessential Tahoe town. A true escape from the hectic pace of city life, Tahoma offers access to picturesque beaches, nearby hiking and biking trails, and the oldest lake front bar and restaurant in Tahoe.

During the summer month, visit the public beach at Chamber’s Landing, less than a 10 minute bike ride, or just a three minute drive from your home. The sandy beach is next to Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, or stop at the Tahoma PDQ market and pick up a picnic lunch on your way to the lake. Venture south to Sugar Pine Point State Park, again less than ten minutes via car or bike, to enjoy sandy beaches, hiking trails, fishing, and a picnic area.

During the ski season, you just minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel just twenty five to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, two of the premier Tahoe ski areas. A single lift ticket provides access to both resorts, and the Squaw/Alpine Express offers between mountain transportation every 20-30 minutes.

Was a wonderfully large rental for families to stay in. The kids loved the hot tub and the surrounding woods. If you stay upstairs you will hear the noise in the kitchen but the master closet is huge and great for a toddler and toddler bed. Very close to homewood. We had a lovely stay overall and plenty of room for everyone.

Fabulous week, great house, suited my family very well.
Weather was perfect for hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, etc. & we did it all!
We loved it. Hope to return someday.
Only too many bear issues! Always into our trash, then we had to clean up.
Manager response on 2017-08-08 - Response from Tahoe Getaways
So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! We are in bear country, so we recommend using the locked bear box for trash. This should prevent any need for clean ups!

There was room for all. very nice, kitchen was big for all us girls to cook. we loved setting out on the deck in the evening with all and bbq. We did have a problem with the back sliding screen, it kept failing off. The hot tub was not clean, and we had a problem finding a hose to fill it. But did manage to find one. The garbage day was Thursday not Wednesday. but over all we had a great time and the place was great.

I leased Quail Creek for Winter 2017. The house is very large and spacious - it comfortably accommodated ~18 people at a time. It has great amenities including TVs, pool table, hot tub, large kitchen and living room. The house is also very conveniently located to both the lake (across the road) and ski resorts (~20 minute drive to Squaw). Highly recommend!

Quail Creek was a great house for our family vacation. The upper level with the open LR, DR and kitchen worked great and the lower level family room w/pool table allowed for a place to watch football and play pool and games. The only thing we would change in the house is to have one more full bath...5 bedrooms and only 2 full baths (one being the master bath) was a bit of a challenge. The views, hot tub, decks...all were a plus as well.

Fantastic location, very comfortable house with plenty of room for a family, nanny and up to 4 guests! Kitchen was CLEAN and BBQ was great. Plenty of room for dog bowls and bed. Downstairs pool table and TV were a great retreat for the kids, very large laundry room was so handy, master bedroom closet was bigger than my kids' room at home! Only minor drawbacks: master bath was slightly awkward with no door, and downstairs bath got a little musty as it has no window. Overall great vacation and loved our stay.

We arrived to the home during a blizzard! We arrived at 4 pm and the street had yet to be plowed! I know this is the cities responsibility but we had to shovel a path to the house! So be prepared if you're coming in the winter! Overall the house was nice. Clean, big kitchen, two living rooms was a plus! But beware- the queen bedroom (the room I stayed in) is right off of the upstairs living room and you can hear everything that's going on in the living room/ kitchen. This room must of been a office that they turned into a bedroom because 1. the lack of sound proof 2. no closet 3. It has french doors with blinds over them. The down stairs bedrooms also said they weren't that sound proof and you could hear all foot steps from upstairs. But overall it was a nice stay- would stay here again with one condition- PLEASE get a bigger bear box trash can! The outdoor trash has to be put in the bear box. Which is by far the smallest on the block. My family stayed at this home over Christmas, 10 people for 10 days, cooking all 3 meals for 10 days in the home. There is only one trash pick up a week from the city. The bear box barely holds 4 medium trash bags. I feel like the rental company should either get a bigger bear box (like everyone else on the street) or pick up your extra trash free of charge.
Manager response on 2016-01-08 - Response from Tahoe Getaways
Thank you for the helpful review. Future renters, please take note of these accurate comments. Plow service is in place for both the street and driveway, and during a storm plows are constantly circling, but snow will build up between passes. When taking out trash, please know that you can completely stuff the bear box. And, in the event that the box is full and trash day has not come, please contact us - we will come by and remove enough garbage to get you through.

Quail Creek house was much more impressive in person than the pictures. The high ceilings really make the living/kitchen area so inviting and open. We had 9 adults and it was very roomy with beds left over. Hot tub was great, location is great with quick access to grocery stores, delis etc in both directions. Beautiful property, was snowing while we were there for Thanksgiving. We made our Thanksgiving meal there and I was totally surprised at how well appointed the kitchen was with everything needed to cook for the Max capacity of 14. Pots pans dishes etc. also was great there was a cute dog bed and blanket provided as well. Everyone loved it and had a great time!

We had to rent a cabin with lots of beds for a family wedding. Eight kids ages 17 to 21, and the adults ages were 55 to 83. This is the house that allowed us to be one big family, yet have our much needed private space. Big kitchen suitable for cooking 3 dozen eggs, bacon, 2 loaves of bread at a clip. (Two boxes of cereal were being consumed while waiting for eggs!)

A big family living room is stocked with checkers, chess, and dominos. We never turned on the TV. The young adults lived in the basement playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and hanging out on the soft leather sofas. The seniors relaxed upstairs reading or organizing plans is the dining area that has sunshine beaming in from two sides.
This is an awesome cabin. I am SO happy that I chose Tahoe Getaways. They found the perfect cabin for my needs. I also like that I can call someone during business hours and has staff near by if needed.

Property was clean, beds so comfortable, could have stayed much longer, a real home from home. We visited Emerald Bay-a must, it's fabulous, ate at jakes on the lake in Tahoe City and West Shore Cafe just along the road, both wonderful. Hot tub welcome after a busy day out! Don't hesitate to book this lovely cabin.

Our multi-aged family group of 15 were very comfortable in this home. The spacious interior and outdoor lawn space fit everyone's needs quite well. Our biggest concern was having to cross the highway with children in order to get to the water. But that is typical for this area. The short drive/to Chambers beach made a full beach day quite simple. We enjoyed ourselves!
