Camp Windsor is a split level home, with the main living area and three bedrooms upstairs, and the fourth bedroom, family room, and full bath downstairs. Perfect for multiple families, the adults can linger in the dining area after dinner, or gather around the wall mounted flat screen television for a movie, while the youngsters play in the family room, stocked with games and books.

During the summer months, the upstairs deck is the place to be, whether you're enjoying lunch or soaking in the hot tub. End the day with a game of ping pong or foosball, both of which can be set up in the garage.

ABOUT THE AREA

Located at the northern tip of Lake Tahoe, just west of the Nevada State border, is Kings Beach. Known for its outstanding public beach, kick back attitude, and easy access to mountain resorts, Kings Beach is a spot travelers return to year after year. The North Tahoe Event Center often plays host to festivals, concerts, and community events, and downtown Kings Beach boasts shopping and dining options open year round.

Kings Beach State Recreation Area is the flagship beach site in the North Tahoe area. With a lake front stretch of 1,700 feet, it is the largest public access sandy beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Its south facing aspect and a lake floor that gradually deepens makes this one of the warmest swimming areas on the Lake. A beautiful playground area overlooks the water and barbecue and picnic areas are available. The beach is adjacent to shops, restaurants and the North Tahoe Event Center.

In the winter, you are just ten minutes from Northstar California. There, enjoy access to almost 100 trails and over 3,000 skiable acres, impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing and enough variety to challenge every level of skier. Take advantage of world class terrain parks, cross country skiing, a youth Adventure Park, and a 9000 square foot ice rink surrounded by fire pits and a rink side bar.

Camp Windsor was an absolutely beautiful home. You can tell the owners love their home and love sharing it with others. It was spotless clean, super spacious, stocked with necessities in bathroom and kitchen (so great!) and had a perfect location for skiing at northstar. The hot tub also was very clean and very enjoyable with lake views on the deck. The Tahoe Get Away staff were also professional, kind and very timely as usual. They are a joy to work with for vacation rentals. I will definitely use their company again and hope to stay at Camp Windsor again!

The house was perfect for a family get together. The living area was great for making dinners and enjoying the company of my seven adult siblings. Kings Beach is a great central location, close to the beach and hiking in the mountains. The hot tub was a plus after a long day of hiking. Las Panchitas, in downtown Kings Beach, has great Mexican food with great service.

The cabin was lovely, and the communication from Tahoe Getaways was fantastic. The only item of note was that the hot tub water was a little iffy, so we used it briefly once and decided to not use it again. I'm not sure if it needs a cleaning (we have one at home that we drain/clean every 6 months) or if it's just older and needs extra attention. Regardless, our stay was wonderful and the cabin was very nice.

We do a complete refill with fresh water every few visits as well. If anything looks amiss upon check in, we are happy to swing by and ensure everything is balanced and cleaned as it should be!

Group Snowboard and Fun Trip

We had an amazing snowboard trip. Such a great location close to the lake and northstar. The hot tub was such a perfect treat after a long day on the mountain. The weekend went by so fast. I only wish we all had more time to spend at the home!

Our family comes to Tahoe each year. We've stayed in many, many cabins but this one was our favorite. It was well appointed, clean, perfectly located and had beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. The cabin was spacious and dog friendly. The hot tub was great. We're hoping to re rent this cabin for next year's trip. It's the best.

We got off to a bad start. The property management company gave us the wrong code for the lock box. They then gave us what turned out to be the code for the hot tub lock for the garage key pad. We finally figured out the code was for the garage door pad.The power went off the master bath. We called the property management co., but got no return call. We finally realized it was a gfi tripped in another bath. The carpeting in the living room should be stretched. The paint on the outside decking and steps was badly worn. I should mention, I own a property management company, so perhaps I have a critical eye. Other than that, the home is very comfortable and we enjoyed our has a little peak at the lake from the deck. It is a short drive to the lake. Be sure to have breakfast at the Log Cabin nearby.
