Really Nice, Not Perfect
Tahoe paradise
Beautiful home and a awesome location...extremely spacious interior on 3 levels...very large terrace..huge windows with lake views...easy steps to the water...beach area with Bocci ball court...owner very genereous with use of bikes and kayaks..pier was perfect for pick up for wake surfing/tubing...overall the best of the best in Tahoe
Amazing home and location
We rented this home for a family vacation to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. And, surprise, the pier turned out to be the perfect setting for our son to propose to his beautiful girlfriend. We were initially attracted to this home by the amazing hot tub but the home is great in many other ways: it is spacious and well-equipped with a full kitchen and many other extras (i.e, bikes and kayaks which the owners graciously made available for our use). The home was clean and well-maintained and the manager's prompt attention to our questions and issues was excellent. The location of the home was spectacular. The view of the lake and the snow-capped mountains in the distance was stunning. We were a five minute drive from Tahoe City so shopping for groceries, etc. was quite convenient. We enjoyed dinner at Sunnyside and Chamber's Landing but mostly preferred to dine in as the house and location could not be better. We rafted down the Truckee River and enjoyed three excellent mornings of boating on the lake (provided by Captain Dave of Tahoe Jet Boats). We enjoyed nearby hiking and golfing and spent some time in kayaks and SUPs. All in all, it was a fabulous vacation.

I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and this one was close to perfect but it really needs a few improvements to make me want to return. The house was great for our family of 7 but we were hot and there were no fans and the windows don’t all have the ability to open. We also needed more pillows, the ones available were flat and uncomfortable. The towels are not rental worthy- they are random, old, and too decorative. The water level was too low to pull the boat up to the dock, not the owner’s fault, but we would have rented elsewhere knowing this. We enjoyed the hot tub, game room, bikes, kayaks, and porch, immensely, and it was an overall nice vacation spot. Pros- Spacious, comfortable beds, beautiful location, great amenities, surplus of supplies, nice game room. Cons- No fans, lack of hot water, wimpy pillows and too few, dock was inaccessible, closets, pantry, and drawers are cluttered with owner’s items.
