Alpine Darling
5 Star
House was as advertised and in an absolutely unbeatable location. We needed help with a minor appliance fix and Tahoe Getaways was super responsive and addressed the problem quickly. Communication on check in and check out and particulars for house were great. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will definitely rent this place and/or others from Tahoe Getaways again. Thank you!
In the trees
The location near 5 lakes hiking trail, the ambience of the trees surrounding the property, the deck, jacuzzi on the deck, and the window seat looking out at an incredible view all made for an incredible stay! It truly was an Alpine Darling. I will definitely return. ( A new quiet refrigerator and flooring would be worth the expense to improve the experience even more!)
Alpine cabin
The cabin is darling and has a fantastic location. The neighbors and friendly and accommodating which made the experience all the more better. The only downside is the off white carpet throughout the house. It was stained and dirty upon arrival which was very off putting. For the amount I paid to stay there, I’d expect more than dirty carpet. Add some laminate flooring and this will be a 5 star spot.
Manager's Response
We will definitely rent this house again next time we are in Tahoe. Great location!
It was exactly what we were hoping for from the website description. Great to find games and books there as well. Kitchen was well equipped and I was easily able to feed my tribe of 7. Comfy beds and pillows, so close to Alpine Meadows. We were all very happy with the cabin.
our days at Alpine Darling.
Over the top for what we expected. This place is outstanding. Beautiful views, hiking, close to gondola at Squaw. Stocked very appropriately (and we ate all our meals there). Hot tub in the evenings, feeling very private. A perfect stay, our golden retriever loved it too!!
our stay at 'The Darling'
Stunning property, great location. Great amenities, clean and very comfortable. Loved our stay and will be back!!
FANTASTIC
Our family love the place. And we bought our 2 dogs with us and they surely enjoy how beautiful the place. They have everything you'll need from cooking wear til the tiny piece you'll ever need. For the kid the only downside was the wifi very poor connection. But you won't need a wifi if you want a quality time with your fam. Will definitely stay again if we'll come back at Lake Tahoe
Ski weekend
We had a great ski weekend at Squaw. The place is 10 mins to downtown and same to Squaw for skiing. Everything felt very closeby. Spent a lovely snowy ski weekend with friends. The rental is run by a business and we called them for questions—communication was good. Overall was pretty smooth. Bathroom amenities were limiting (was told to bring extra toilet paper which we did and kinda weird that they didn’t just have an extra roll there). They have kitchen utensils and towels. The living room space is beautiful with tall windows and was a good hangout area.
Great place to stay. Kitchen was well supplied. The living room was very very comfortable. Beds and surfaces we're all very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Only complaint- the Wi-Fi was not working.
Just what we needed
The house has a lovely gathering space with views, a hot tub, and a neat loft that is perfect for children.
Alpine Darling Stay - Labor Day Weekend 2018
Last minute Mountain Biking trip. Reserved this bad boy like 7 days before. Perfect location. Awesome views from right out side. Really close to resorts. The house was clean and homie. Very relaxing place after hours and hours of downhill biking. My friends and I had a blast with no problems. I would defiantly rent this place again.
Great Mountain Retreat
We loved our ski lease experience this winter. The setting was pristine, quiet and beautiful. Further, in 5 minutes you are at Alpine Meadows and ready to ski! Love the hot tub and the great family room.
Much needed get away!
It was perfect for a get away.
Loved our stay in Alpine Meadows Darling
We loved staying in this Alpine Darling. We enjoyed the views, the hikes and the hot tub. We would love to come back.
Alpine Darling in June
Overall it was good, the only issue was 3inches of snow in June. :( . We werent able to do everything we planned the weather was not beach friendly. The rental was good, but next time ill look to rent later in the summer so we can take advantage of the horseback riding and beaches. It was a nice rental.
Cozy mountain retreat home
Lovey home had a great stay. Beautiful quiet neighborhood and lovely mountain views.
Nice quiet neighbirgood
Overall, an enjoyable stay. Several lights were out and we could not get the DVD player to work. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, the hot tub was appreciated, nice and clean. There was nothing in the kitchen cupboards except salt and pepper and a few old spices so bring everything (every other house we've rented had odds and ends (non-perishable) left from previous renters). This one had nothing!
Come again and satisfied as
Come again, still LOVE this place: trail behind house, calm weather in the valley, house facilities, close by Tahoe city, Biking/Jogging trail along creek, nice neighbor, and adorable neighbor's dog (name is Wilson)
Beautiful house, great location, some wear and tear
My group had a fantastic winter in this cabin. A few things stood out:

- The location was unbeatable. Being so close to the mountain was a big win.

- The staff at Tahoe Resort Property Mgmt was great. I worked closely with Beth at the beginning of the season, and she was always quick and clear in the help she provided.

- The house's interior was in good shape, with some signs of wear and tear on older fixtures such as the cabinets and fridge.

- The fireplace caused us the most problems, with some sort of backdraft allowing smoke to come back into the cabin. Even with a strong fire going, the cabin would get a bit smoky over the course of an evening.
Lovely Place to Stay
A great place for a pre-holiday family gathering. Warm and cozy, clean and well-equipped, and well-located. Many thoughtful details (games, DVDs, W/D, fluffy comforters, extra linens). Snow-covered driveway did require chains/snow tires to get up several times so be aware. Also loft beds are not for late sleepers since voices rise from living room nor is the bottom double bunk bed for older adults due to low overhead. Nevertheless, a truly lovely place to stay.
Alpine Darling
The home was perfect, felt like you were in your own home. They lay out was great, the loft upstairs had its own bathroom which was fantastic, T.V with games and then down stairs 2 bedrooms. I think my favorite place was the living room with the best fireplace ever and the the hot tub on the deck.

TV

fantastic place to spend a weekend!
cozy, warm, amazing taste of interiors
Great "Base Camp" for Tahoe Area
We had a great experience staying at this cabin. While it's not on the water, we still were able to enjoy our days by the lake, on the golf courses and in the restaurants knowing we had a quiet, comfortable play to rest our heads when we were done. Only negative was all the road construction going on, but I guess that's Tahoe in October.
A piece of heaven
Absolutely fantastic!
Wonderfull place to spend vacation
Family room shown as cover page has great view of mountain and this house sits at end of road, very quiet. just cross street of Cul-de-Sac, there is trail heading to where I haven't found out yet in 1 hour hiking so I have to turn back. Thanks for letting me spend Comfortable, relaxed moment here.

Great house!
The house was amazing! Great living room, with a wood fireplace, to play games. Large deck with table, chairs and a hot tub. The bedrooms were large and had very comfortable beds.

Overall the house was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to all looking to stay in the Tahoe area, or specifically right next to Alpine/Squaw.
Meticulously maintained beautiful home
My family often rent houses when we visit Tahoe or travel. This home is by far the most beautiful we've ever visited. What struck me was how well maintained this home was compared to other rental properties that we've encountered elsewhere (it's not that other properties are dirty, this property was just extraordinary).

The shelves were packed with books, board games, video games and DVD's. Our 1.5 year old son had a blast going through some of the toddler books. The kitchen is also stocked with nice and clean glassware and cookware.

The only downside was having to take our trash to the recycle center ourselves.

Highly recommend both the property and TahoeGetaways!
Tahoe home
We loved the house! It was a pleasure to be there.
Exactly what we wanted.
Great location close enough but not too close. Home was well presented and very clean. Being so close to hiking trails , beaches and shops helped us to plan our days with a 10 and 5yr old very easily. The home had enough desperate areas to be alone if u wanted to, or all together without changing anything. A great home base for the week and would definitely go back...!
Alpine Darling
Very nice house - enjoyable experience. The house got a little stuffy during the day and in the evening.
Nice getaway
Love the location and views of the mountain from the deck and living room.
Great family house with hiking and biking trails galore
This house exceeded our expectations. The property management company got us in on a last second trip and they made it super easy. Thanks again for a great trip. We will use you again on our next trip. They should let people know there is a really nice mt bike trail at the end of the driveway.
Alpine Darling
Overall a very nice home - very good location. Only 10 minutes from Tahoe City and Squaw Valley. Only minor criticism was no AC and the grill was very dirty when we arrived. Small but ample kitchen. Bed rooms very comfy. Very comfortable stay.

The house was not appropriately cleaned. There were numerous cobwebs in several corners of the house, the patio furniture was unusable, the hot tub water was dirty, there were dirty dishes in the cupboards, the carpet wasn't very clean and the hand soap containers were filled low water/soap to the point we had to go out and buy our own. For the price we paid for the house and the cleanliness we were given it was a disappointing experience. We took pictures as well in needed to present. The property itself was beautiful but we will not be returning to this location because of the cleanliness.
