It may be spring, but it sure feels like winter at Lake Tahoe this week. An unexpected cold front and snow came to Tahoe following expert predictions that any snowfall after April first was unlikely. However, unlikely, in the midst of one of the warmest and driest snow seasons on record, we saw measurable snow accumulation at lake level and 12 inches of new snow at the ski resorts.
And the best news, is that this little winter gem will keep Squaw Valley Ski Resort open for at least one more week!!! They just announced today that they will be extending their season closing date to April 19th! So if you missed today's powder day, don't worry. You've got 11 more days to get here and enjoy it!
