Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema is North Lake Tahoe’s hot spot for movies, independent films, performances, and live music! It is the only cinema draft house & independent theater in the Tahoe/Truckee area. Comfy seats, big screen, awesome sound, beer, and a super friendly staff is what everyone is talking about! It serves a wonderful gathering place for entertainment lovers, locals & visitors alike, bringing the community together through a lively, fun experience!
Tahoe Art Haus is located in downtown Tahoe City in the Cobblestone shopping center. Before the Art Haus, the building housed the Cobblestone Cinema - the only movie theatre in North Lake Tahoe other than a small theatre in Northstar and the Incline Village Cinema in Nevada. Though popular among Tahoe City locals, in January 2014, after 43 years of business, the Cobblestone Cinema shut its doors. This meant longer drives and higher ticket prices for moviegoers. But not for long! In the fall of 2014 a group of locals renovated the old cinema into a contemporary Art Haus, bringing a bit of culture back into North Lake Tahoe!
Tahoe Art Haus features a calendar full of events ranging from major motion pictures, independent films, documentaries, Throwback-Thursdays with the best classic movies, ski movie premieres, film fests, dance recitals, and more! Before or during your show, be sure to check out their popcorn spice bar, concession stand, & yes, a bar serving up cold brews on tap, cider, & bottled craft beer!
This upcoming month, the Tahoe Art Haus has some exciting films & activities planned! Purchase tickets online! Just to give you a taste of what is to come, see the events listed below:
