Historic Snowfall Extends Ski Season at Palisades Tahoe Until July 4th, 2023

The historic snowfall at Palisades Tahoe has created an extraordinary opportunity for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. With the ski season extended until July 4th, 2023, visitors can relish the thrill of gliding down the slopes even in the summer months. Although operations may differ from previous summers, there is still plenty to experience and enjoy at Palisades Tahoe. Whether it's skiing and snowboarding on designated days, exploring The Village, or indulging in breathtaking sightseeing trips, this extended ski season promises unforgettable moments for all who venture to this mountain paradise.

June Operations: As we transition from spring to summer, Palisades Tahoe's operations will undergo some adjustments. In the month of June, the resort will be open for skiing and snowboarding on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week. This means that you can still enjoy the exhilaration of gliding down the slopes during the weekends. However, please note that Palisades' iconic area, Palisades Bowl, will be closed for skiing and snowboarding during this time.

The Village at Palisades Tahoe, on the other hand, will remain open for visitors. Whether you're looking for a cozy place to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, or browse through some unique shops, The Village offers a charming atmosphere for all.

Aerial Tram Operations: From May 30th to June 15th, the Aerial Tram at Palisades Tahoe will be closed for maintenance. However, starting from June 16th, it will reopen for sightseeing and various activities during the second two weekends of June: June 16th-18th and June 23rd-25th. For those who wish to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains and enjoy the Aerial Tram experience, this is your chance. Beginning June 30th, the Aerial Tram will resume daily operations, allowing visitors to indulge in awe-inspiring sightseeing trips.

Sightseeing at Palisades Tahoe: While skiing and snowboarding will be limited to specific days in June, sightseeing at Palisades Tahoe will be available throughout the month. Visitors can take advantage of the Aerial Tram to access High Camp and enjoy the stunning vistas of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding alpine beauty. Sightseeing hours will be from 10 am to 4:20 pm, with the last upload to High Camp at 4:20 pm and the last download at 5 pm. So, even if you're not hitting the slopes, you can still revel in the splendor of this remarkable destination.

Ski Team Camp and Future Plans: Palisades Tahoe will be hosting a Ski Team camp from June 24th to July 2nd, with a day off on June 28th. This camp provides an opportunity for aspiring athletes to hone their skills and train in the pristine slopes of Palisades Tahoe. It's an exciting chance to witness the dedication and talent of these athletes as they prepare for future competitions.

Looking ahead, Palisades Tahoe's ski season beyond July 4th will depend on weather conditions and other factors. The resort will evaluate the possibilities of extending the season further, ensuring that visitors can make the most of the exceptional snowfall. As always, the safety and enjoyment of guests remain a top priority.
