Here at Tahoe Getaways, Tahoe is our home. Our Mission Statement promises we shall...
"Remain a locally operated company, acting as good stewards of our space and role models in our industry, protecting our home owners’ assets and guests’ investments, and leaving a net positive impact on our community."
We all feel so grateful to live, work, and play here and work daily to give back to the place that allows us to prosper. Tahoe Getaways regularly partners with local nonprofits who reflect the values of the Tahoe Getaways team and help make our local community even better.
Getaways for Good
IN 2018, local Truckee residents Rick and Nancy Holliday, founders and owners of Holliday Development, donated an apartment in downtown Truckee to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe (HSTT). The property, called the Holliday House, is rented to HSTT for $1 per year, and all rental proceeds directly benefit HSTT. Inspired by the Hollidays’ generous donation, and in support of the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe’s essential work in our community, Tahoe Getaways committed to provide professional vacation rental management services at Holliday House free of charge. In 2019, we expanded this program to include a number of other Tahoe Getaways home owners, who generously donated the proceeds from one three night stay at their home to the Humane Society. Tahoe Getaways in turn donated all commission earned on these bookings to HSTT, and branded the program “Getaways for Good”.
Employee Volunteer Program
Tahoe Getaways believes its most valuable resources are its people, and strives to share this resources with the greater Tahoe community. Toward this goal, Tahoe Getaways encourages all employees to donate their time to the community organization of their choice, and matches every day of volunteerism with one day of paid vacation for the contributing employee.
