Booking and Cancellation
Question: What time is check-in?
Answer: Check-in time is 4:00 pm. When availability permits, we do offer the option to upgrade to Priority Check-In, which will allow you access to the property at 12:00 pm on the day of your arrival. Because occupancy cannot be predicted, we are unable to confirm availability of Priority Check-In until 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival. If available, we will reach out to you at this time, and the upgrade may be added for $75.
Q: What time is check-out?
A: Check-out time is 10:00 am. When availability permits, we do offer the option to purchase a late check-out, which will allow you use of the property until 3:00 pm. Because occupancy cannot be predicted, we are unable to confirm availability of late check-out until 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure. If available, we will reach out to you at this time, and late check-out may be added for $100.
Q: What is Tahoe Getaways cancellation policy?
A: We will collect a 10% pre-payment at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the reservation arrival date. Both payments are non-refundable. We recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to protect your payment in the event that you do need to cancel.
Q: What does the Travel Insurance cover?
A: If you are forced to cancel your reservation for one of the policy’s covered reasons, you are entitled to 100% of your money back. If you choose to cancel for any reason, and give Tahoe Getaways at least 48 hours noticed, you are entitled to 75% of your money back. Q: How old do I need to be to reserve a home?
A: In order to reserve one of our vacation homes, you must be at least 25 years of age. All individuals under the age of 18 must be traveling with their parent or legal guardian, or other appointed adult.
Q: What is your pet policy?
A: No pets of any kind are permitted in or around any of our vacation homes without prior approval. At our vacation homes where pets are considered, guests may bring up to two well-traveled, adult dogs when approved by a Tahoe Getaways Vacation Specialist. Payment of a $30/night pet fee per dog is required. We do not allow dogs under the age of 1 year, cats, or any other pets at any time. Please be aware our Damage Waiver does NOT cover accidental damage caused by your dog.
Q: What about Service Dogs?
A: We are happy to accommodate any individuals requiring the assistance of a trained Service Animal. Emotional support animals, therapy dogs, or service dogs traveling without an individual with a disability requiring their assistance are not permitted in homes where pets are not allowed.
Q: Do any of your homes allow weddings?
A: Weddings or any events where attendance exceeds the maximum occupancy of the home are not permitted.
Access and Amenities
Q: How will I gain access to the property?
A: A key to the home is available in a lock box at each property. Provided that your ID has been verified by a Tahoe Getaways Vacation Specialist, the lock box code will be provided at check-in time on the day of your arrival, after we have prepared the home for you.
Q: Is Wifi included?
A: All of our homes are equipped with cable television and wireless internet. Please know that internet in the mountains will likely be slow compared to urban standards.
Q: Are toiletries provided?
A: Travel sized shampoo, body wash, and bar soap is provided. We still recommend bringing your own items if you prefer particular brands, or are joining us for an extended stay.
Q: What about paper products?
A: We provide a starting supply of paper towels and toilet paper, which is designed to get you from your arrival through your first grocery run. We recommend picking up a supply to get your through the rest of your stay.
After your Stay
Q: What is your lost and found policy?
A: Tahoe Getaways is not responsible for any items left behind at a property. If you believe you have forgotten an item at one of our vacation homes, please contact our office at 530-583-0220 x2. We will attempt to locate the item for you, and if found, return it via USPS Priority Mail. The minimum charge for this service is $25.
