Tahoe Activities

Summer is in the air which has us all daydreaming about those perfect lake days. There are so many fun things to do on the lake from relaxing in the sun on a soft sandy beach to sailing the deep blue waters. We have put together a list of our favorite lake activities for new visitors and old visitors alike.

1.  Charter a boat:

Charter a boat and let a local captain show you and your family the best of Tahoe. Pack a lunch and your sunscreen and prepare yourself for a day of exploring, swimming, and sunbathing! Tahoe Getaways Tip: Book a Lakefront home with a pier and have the captain pick you up at the vacation home!

2.  Paddle Boarding:

Paddleboarding is one of our favorite ways to experience the lake. You can spend your days exploring, floating through water that is so clear you can see the bottom. New to the sport, you can book a tour so you can learn all of the ins and out's of paddleboarding. Tahoe Getaways Tip: Again, a lakefront home comes in clutch as you can have a paddleboard delivered right to the property!

3.  Relaxing in the Sun:

North Lake Tahoe is full of some of the most amazing, sandy beaches. Grab yourself a lunch and cooler full of drinks and spend your day soaking in the sun and swimming in the magical waters of Lake Tahoe. Tahoe Getaways Tip: Skip the beach parking and book one of our homes that are within walking distance to the beach! Tahoe Time, Moon Dunes.

4.  Jet Skiing:

What better way to explore than jet skiing! In North Lake Tahoe you can rent a Jet Ski and spend your days zooming around the lake and seeing the sites. Tahoe Getaways Tip: Book a guide so you will be sure to hit all of the best spots on the lake!

5. Sunset Kayak tour:

Take a sunset kayak tour and get a front-row seat to a colorful show as the sun goes down. Hands down one of the best ways to experience a Tahoe Sunset. Tahoe Getaways Tip: No tip here just highly recommend this cool experience.
